The Best Seasons for Quad Biking in the Agafay Desert

Planning a quad excursion in Agafay but not sure when to go? The climate and desert conditions change with the seasons, creating unique experiences throughout the year. Discover when to make the most of your quad adventure in this magnificent desert on the doorstep of Marrakech.

Spring: The Ideal Season (March to May)

Spring is arguably the perfect time to explore the Agafay Desert by quad. Temperatures are mild, between 20 and 28°C, and the light is ideal for photos. Vegetation is still present after the winter rains, offering a striking contrast with the desert landscape. The still-snowy Atlas Mountains in the background complete the picture.

Autumn: Mild Weather and Golden Hues (September to November)

Autumn is the other standout season. Temperatures become pleasant again after the summer heat, and the desert takes on magnificent golden tones in the late afternoon. It is the ideal time for sunset excursions. Fewer tourists than in spring, for a more intimate experience.

Summer: Early Morning or at Sunset (June to August)

In summer, daytime temperatures can be high. Our excursions are scheduled early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. Sunset rides are particularly popular and offer exceptional lighting conditions.

Winter: Sunny Days (December to February)

Winter remains pleasant in the Agafay Desert with sunny days and mild daytime temperatures (15-22°C). Mornings can be cool, but that is the trade-off for optimal riding conditions and crystal-clear landscapes.
